2. Local-First Philosophy
Dopa is designed as a local-first application. Your writing, drafts, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a centralized cloud database for your personal writing content. Your words are yours, and they stay on your device unless you choose to export them.
3. Information We Collect
a. Personal Data
We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the core features of Dopa.
b. Usage Data & Diagnostics
We may collect anonymous diagnostic data and crash reports to help us improve the app's stability and performance. This data does not include the content of your writing.
4. Third-Party Services
Dopa may use third-party services to facilitate our service:
- App Stores: Apple App Store or Google Play Store for app distribution and in-app purchases.
- Vexo: We use Vexo for anonymous analytics to understand how users interact with our app (e.g., screens visited, features used, device type). This helps us improve user experience and fix bugs. Vexo does not collect personal identifiable information (PII).
- Tally: We use Tally to power our contact and support forms. When you submit a form, the information you provide is processed by Tally in accordance with their privacy policy.
Payment Information: We do not collect or store your payment details. All purchases are handled securely by the respective platform (Apple/Google).
5. Data Retention
Because your data is stored locally, we do not have access to it. If you delete the application, your local data will typically be deleted as well, unless backed up via your OS-level cloud backup (e.g., iCloud or Google Backup).
6. Changes to this Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Since we do not collect your personal contact information, we will notify you of any significant changes by posting a notice within the Dopa mobile application or on our website. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy and any disputes related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Any legal action or proceeding related to your privacy shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Taiwan.
